Microwave Engineering
Technology Associates can provide Project Management, Design, Construction, Installation, and Commissioning of complete turnkey microwave solutions, ranging from spread-spectrum low capacity radios up to multi-channel, high-capacity, licensed microwave with diversity and redundancy protection.

The Technology Associates microwave engineering group can perform complete turnkey point-to-point inside and outside engineering services. Using Pathloss 4.0, the initial viability of a link is determined. The Technology Associates Engineering Team shall then perform a detailed site survey and if needed, arrange a path flash study. A detailed site survey is a physical inspection of the path endpoints, insuring that any potential problems are identified. The path flash is to confirm whether a path is feasible, enabling the engineer to determine how much clearance is required for adequate Fresnel clearance as well as simple ray grazing clearance. This will ensure proper link design and improved link availability performance. Technology Associates will customize and deliver to our clients a comprehensive survey form with photographs for both the site survey and path flash study.

Technology Associates shall then make final candidate path recommendations and modify link budgets based on information revealed in the detailed site survey. The engineer will prepare a Bill of Materials (BOM), and if needed, add budgetary pricing so that our client will have a good faith estimate of potential network build-out costs.

The client will receive final path studies and reports, itemizing the build-out and its associated budgetary cost. Adding a second, third, or fourth dish to a loaded tower may require a structural analysis. If the landlord does not provide this service, Technology Associates engineers can provide our clients with a Certified Structural Analysis to ensure that the proposed antenna installations will not compromise tower safety. This service, always performed by registered Professional Engineers, will serve as added confidence to our clients that their link is sound mechanically as well as electrically. All Technology Associates clients will receive a structural report with an affidavit bearing the Professional Engineer’s stamp, indicating his acceptance of the proposed installation.
